What a year! Parent-made yearbook captures memories

It's been another great year at Brook Road Academy full of comraderie and one-of-a-kind learning experiences. And of course, our school wouldn't be what it is without the involvement of our parents. Brook Road Academy video wins Virginia Public Relations Award

The Public Relations Society of America Richmond Chapter has awarded Brook Road Academy with a Virginia Public Relations Award for our school video. The video received a Capital Award of Excellence in the category of Online Videos, presented at the Jefferson Hotel on Wednesday, May 10. Henrico County Police introduce students to careers in law enforcement

Volunteer helps students with college applications and resumes

Job Coach Sue Story met with our juniors and seniors and conducted a workshop on applications and resume building skills.  Students were grateful to have benefited from Sue's expertise! Introducing After-School Archery Club

Brook Road Academy is excited to announce that it will be starting its Archery Club led by teacher Israel Melendez. The club will meet after school on Tuesdays from 3:30pm-4:15pm at Bass Pro Shops. Caring for mind and body through yoga

Every Friday at Brook Road Academy, students have the opportunity to participate in a session of yoga. A study from Duke University Medical Center suggests that yoga can benefit those living with depression, anxiety, and sleep issues, helping them feel calm and relaxed. Parents are able to join too! Even students who have never done yoga before have recognized its positive effects on their mental health and have begun looking forward to it each week.

Brook Road students perform in University of Richmond Twelfth Night production

On the evening of Friday, December 2, Brook Road Academy students took the stage in front of a large crowd at the St. Joseph's Villa chapel.  They were joined by University of Richmond students to perform an act of Williams Shakespeare's Twelfth Night as part of the Jepson Shakespeare Project.
