What’s happening at Brook Road Academy – Week 20
From Elif Kalemdaroglu, Head of Brook Road Academy
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARENTS AND STAFF MEMBERS for participating in our Chili Cook Off! We have pictures posted on our Facebook page.
We celebrated our Honor Roll students with a brunch at River City Diner!
2/5: Yorktown field trip. Rain or shine. We are planning on departing at 8: 15 and arrive back to school around 2:45. We are covering the cost of admission and providing sandwiches for students; however, students are encouraged to bring money as there is a gift shop and a café available.
2/5: Yoga after school
2/7: Manorhouse Community Service for Group B
2/11 & 2/13: NWEA MAPS TESTING (Reading & Math)
2/11: Black History museum field trip. This is a school-wide trip. All students are expected to attend.
2/21: Manorhouse Community Service for Group A
2/27: University of Richmond-Modlin Center: University Dancers field trip. We are fortunate to be provided tickets for this sold out show. This trip is free of charge to our students. https://tickets.modlin.richmond.edu/2880/2882
Students need to turn in their missing assignments and late work Friday, February 7. Teachers are not required to accept late work for students that are in attendance.
Cell phones need to be off and away. We are not in the habit of requiring cell phones to be turned in; however, we have been addressing students increasingly regarding their cell phones and electronics.
As always, thank you for your support of our school community!
